History of Hug ProjectThe Hug Japan Project is a nonprofit social-design initiative, which aims to provide solid and long-term support from the universal design standpoint to all people
particularly children affected directly and emotionaly by the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011. By creating a network not just within Japan but across the globe, the project aims to provide
ongoing assistance through creative and practical activities, such as art and design. In this way, we hope to support the future of all cities and people affected while respecting the value of each person who
was impacted by the natural disaster.

Hug japan プロジェクトは，2011年3月11日に発生した東日本大震災で被災した方々や、特に子どもたちなど、暮らしや心に大きな負担を負った方々への支援を、ユニバーサルデザインの思想に基づき、長く力強く支援していくソーシャルデザインの非営利のプロジェクトとして活動しております。その活動への志は、日本国内に限らず、広く世界に心のネットワークの根を広げて、被害を受けられた一人一人の人間性を尊重しながら、被災された全ての都市と人々の明日の暮らしを、様々なアートやデザインと言った創造的且つ実践的な活動を通して継続的に支援していきたいと考えています。
